Hey Explorers!

This week, the enterprise software model took a body blow it won't recover from quietly.

Anthropic's Cowork plugins wiped $285 billion from software stocks. OpenAI launched a "Semantic Operating System" for enterprise. And the CEO of Crypto.com bought AI.com for $70 million and debuted it during the Super Bowl.

Here's the signal that matters ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

๐Ÿ—ž๏ธ TECH & TRENDS | The Replacement Era

๐Ÿงจ The "SAASpocalypse" Is Here Anthropic released 11 open-source plugins for Claude Cowork targeting legal, finance, sales, and marketing workflows. Within hours, $285 billion evaporated from software stocks. Thomson Reuters fell 16%. LegalZoom dropped 20%. If your workflow can be described in a prompt, your software subscription is at risk. ๐ŸŒ AI.com Launches with a $70M Domain and a Super Bowl Ad Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek paid $70 million for AI.com, the largest domain name purchase ever recorded. More than double the previous record. The platform launched during Super Bowl LX, introducing autonomous AI agents that operate on your behalf: tasks, messages, apps, even stock trades. Whether you buy the AGI thesis or not, $70M on a URL tells you where the smart money thinks the world is heading. (๐Ÿ”— Link)

๐Ÿง  OpenAI Frontier: The Enterprise OS Nobody Asked For (But Everyone Needs) OpenAI launched Frontier, a platform connecting CRMs, databases, and internal tools into one unified AI orchestration layer. Agents don't assist workflows. They run them. Uber, Intuit, and State Farm are already on board. (๐Ÿ”— Link)

๐Ÿ’ฐ Big Tech Just Bet $650 Billion on AI Amazon ($200B), Google ($175-185B), Meta ($115-135B), and Microsoft ($145B). Combined capex is up 60% year-over-year. Bloomberg says there's no modern parallel for this level of corporate spending. The AI buildout is no longer a tech story. It's macroeconomic infrastructure. (๐Ÿ”— Link)

๐Ÿ“‰ Salesforce Is Down 26% YTD. The "Seat" Model Is Cracking. If AI agents can execute workflows without humans logging into enterprise software, why pay per seat? Salesforce is now the second-worst performer in the Dow. Marc Benioff told Fortune that Salesforce won't be hiring additional engineers, service agents, or lawyers because of AI tools. The CEO of a SaaS company just made the bear case for SaaS. (๐Ÿ”— Link)

๐Ÿงช 91% of Marketers Use AI. Only 41% Can Prove It Works. A Jasper survey of 1,400 marketers confirms AI is no longer experimental. It's embedded infrastructure. But the gap between adoption and measurable ROI is widening. The bottleneck now is governance, legal review, and brand standards. (๐Ÿ”— Link)

๐Ÿ’ป "Vibe Coding" Turns 1. Karpathy Says the Next Era Has Already Started. A year ago, Andrej Karpathy posted a throwaway tweet about letting AI write all his code. It became a movement. โ€œVibe Codingโ€ became Collins Dictionary's 2025 Word of the Year. 92% of US developers now use AI coding tools daily. But Karpathy says it's already evolved. His new term: "Agentic Engineering." You're no longer prompting AI to write code. AI agents are writing, debugging, and shipping it themselves. (๐Ÿ”— Link)

๐Ÿ”ฉ Cerebras Raises $1B, Signs a $10B Deal with OpenAI AI chipmaker Cerebras just closed a $1 billion Series H at a $23 billion valuation. Nearly triple from six months ago. Their Wafer Scale Engine 3 packs 4 trillion transistors, 19x more than Nvidia's Blackwell B200. Weeks before the raise, they signed a $10B deal to supply OpenAI with 750 megawatts of compute by 2028. IPO expected Q2 2026. (๐Ÿ”— Link)

๐Ÿš€ NASA Used Claude to Drive the Mars Rover NASA's Perseverance rover completed the first AI-planned drive on another planet. Anthropic's Claude analyzed orbital imagery, generated waypoints, and verified over 500,000 telemetry variables. Two successful drives totaling 456 meters across Jezero Crater. Zero human intervention. For future missions where communication delays make real-time control impossible, this is the only way forward. (๐Ÿ”— Link)

โšก AI Spending Is Now Visible in GDP Data JPMorgan reports that AI-related capital expenditures contributed 1.1% to US GDP growth in the first half of 2025, outpacing consumer spending. Four tech companies are now spending more than 21 major US corporations combined. AI infrastructure investment is now a macroeconomic variable that central banks have to model for. (๐Ÿ”— Link)

The signal this week is unmistakable: AI is replacing the old model fast. The companies, workflows, and pricing structures that defined enterprise tech for 20 years are being repriced in real time. If you're still planning your AI strategy, the market is already trading on the assumption that you're late.

Don't just read these signals. Act on them.

Signal over noise. Always.
